Now thirteen-years-old, Anne is focused on writing a story as homework. She does all sorts of research to prepare for writing a proposal scene, but when she is unable to find satisfactory answers, she writes it using her own imagination. Forming a story club with her friends, she demonstrates her skill in writing as its leader. Anne tries to turn her hair black using a dye that she bought from a peddler, but ends up turning it green instead! In the end, she has to cut her hair short, and through her tears she accepts red hair isn’t so bad after all.
