Q:How did you feel when you found out you had been cast in Anne Shirley?

It’s a timeless masterpiece! I’m honored to be able to take part in a work loved by people around the world, and as Marilla Cuthbert, who I had always hoped to play someday!

Q:What were your impressions after recording the first episode?

On the first day of recording, I was so nervous that I tried to take it on with enthusiasm, but ended up just spinning my wheels a lot of the time... But the way that I was feeling that day was in tune with the way that the stern and stubborn but awkward Marilla expresses her affection for Anne, so I feel that, as a result, I was able to become the Marilla I had imagined for myself.

Q:What was it like in the recording studio?

I’ve been enjoying recording. The studio is filled with the cast and staff’s love for Anne Shirley!

Q:What would you like to say to the viewers?

I hope that those who already know Anne, and those who haven’t met her yet, will be able to enjoy her world!
