Q:How did you feel when you found out you had been cast in Anne Shirley?

I was surprised when I was chosen to be involved with the animated series Anne Shirley, and the world of Anne of Green Gables, which has been loved in so many ways.
And it came with the opportunity to jump into Anne’s world as the very charming Philippa.
I read the scripts excitedly before recording started.

Q:What was it like in the recording studio?

I was happy to be welcomed so warmly when I was joining in the middle of the show.
Everyone loves Anne and this series. We talked a lot about the characters and story during wait times and on breaks. It was a very fun and friendly work environment.

Q:What would you like to say to the viewers?

I’m Chika Anzai, the voice for Philippa Gordon.
The time I spent with Anne and the others through Philippa was very stimulating. Each time I went in to record, I was immersed in that world, which made even just breathing a joy, and I was able to savor a variety of emotions.
I hope the viewers will also be able to watch over Anne’s life through the original work and the animated series. Thank you!
