Episode 3 Looking Forward to Something is Half the Fun

Anne is looking forward to her first picnic. But when Marilla’s brooch goes missing, the suspicion falls on her. Anne insists on her innocence, but cannot convince Marilla. She confesses to taking the brooch in the hopes of still being able to attend the picnic, but her confession only enrages Marilla. Later, the broach is found, and the two reconcile. Anne is able to take part in the picnic, and has a good time with her friends. At school, Anne has the worst possible meeting with Gilbert, and also rebels against her teacher Mr. Phillips.
