Marilla takes in a pair of six-year-old twins, Davy and Dora, from a relative who has passed away. Dora is a good girl, but Davy is rowdy, mischievous, and lacking in manners. Marilla and Anne’s lives are turned upside-down. One day, Anne returns home from school to find Dora missing, and Davy says he hasn’t seen her. With the help of the people of the neighborhood, they search everywhere including the well, but to no avail. Anne goes to Mr. Harrison’s house to look for Dora, but where has she gone?
